Itiva Networks Appoints Four New Board Members

New Directors Bolster Itiva's Digital Content Domain Expertise
As Company Expands On-Line Rich Media Delivery Network

Palo Alto, Calif. - April 17, 2007 - Itiva Networks, the on-line Video Content Delivery Solution for high quality digital assets, today announced the appointment of veteran high technology experts Jerry Pierce, Nicholas R. Miller, Max Paley and Richard Archuleta to the company's Board of Directors.

Pierce, the former senior vice president of technology for Universal Pictures, created the Studio's New Technology Department in 2000. He led the launch of DVD for Universal and held executive oversight for Universal's Digital Cinema Activities. An associate member of the American Society of Cinematographers, as well as a member of the Board of the University of Southern California's Entertainment Technology Center, Pierce also chaired the SMPTE Digital Cinema Mastering group and served as a member of the Studio's Digital Cinema Consortium - DCI. Prior to his position at Universal Pictures, Pierce established the joint project with Universal and Panasonic for DVD disc authorizing and High Definition Telecine Transfers. For 13 years he served on the Stanford Research Institute (SRI) team. Pierce has been awarded more than 15 patents on optical cards, hybrid optical/magnetic memories, and scanner systems. He holds a MSEE degree from Stanford University and a BSEE degree from the University of California, Berkeley.

Miller is a highly seasoned serial entrepreneur with more than 25 years of executive management leadership who has created successful private and publicly traded companies in the software, wireless, and Internet industries. Miller was among the first to identify security threats posed by wireless technology and coined the phrase "WiPhishing". He founded and served as President and CEO of DataLink Systems Corporation (now Semotus Solutions, Inc.). He served as Director of Ezenet Technologies (acquired by Cognicase) and Workfire Technologies (acquired by Packeteer, Inc.). Miller sat as Vice-Chairman and a Director of Mulgrave School, an independent school based in West Vancouver, Canada, and helped spearhead the effort to make Mulgrave among the first schools in North America to have a WiFi enabled network and related laptop program, which became the subject of a Microsoft case study. Miller holds two patents related to wireless technology and the Internet.

Max Paley is vice president of Multimedia and STE (System Test Engineering) for Apple, Inc., where he is responsible for driving graphics, video and audio implementation on all Mac platforms. Prior to that, he served as Apple's vice president of CPU SW, consolidating the Mac SW teams that had previously been distributed among multiple company divisions. Paley served as vice president of engineering for Award BIOS and also as vice president of software development for S3, Inc., whose main business was supplying GPU's to large PC Original Equipment Manufacturers, including Compaq, Dell and Toshiba. Previously he managed the graphic driver development for Compaq, and before that he was a senior management at Olivetti ATC. Paley holds an engineering degree from the University of California, Berkeley and a fine arts degree from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music.

Richard Archuleta is a successful technology business leader with 26 years experience. As a former senior vice president and general manager at Hewlett Packard, Richard led three different businesses over the past 10 years: HP's notebook PC business, standard intel architecture server business, and the world-wide volume direct business. In addition, he led the planning for the merger integration of HP's and Compaq's PC businesses. Prior to this he held numerous leadership positions in business, R&D and engineering management at HP. In 1998 he was named "Mobile Industry Person of the Year" by Mobile Computing Magazine. Archuleta holds a Bachelor of Science degree and a Master of Science degree in electrical engineering from Stanford University. He is a patent holder and a graduate of the Executive Development Program at the Kellogg School of Management.
