A hybrid CDN/peer-to-peer infrastructure appears to position the company well to meet the demands of high bandwidth, high content traffic. Of the competitors we have seen to Akamai, this is one of the more interesting companies. Interestingly, the hybrid model appears to have some validation given the recent acquisition of Red Swoosh by Akamai and the hybrid model Verisign is pursuing.
